Kuroko's Basketball OVA

This OVA of Kuroko's Basketball was released bundled with the 25th volume of Tadatoshi Fujimaki's manga. Rather than covering a major tournament match, it adapts a short extra story from the manga's fifth volume, titled Baka ja Katenai no yo – roughly, You Can't Win If You're an Idiot.

The episode stars the members of the Seirin High basketball club: the nearly invisible passing specialist Tetsuya Kuroko, his hot-headed partner and ace Taiga Kagami, the team's coach Riko Aida and the rest of the squad, captain Junpei Hyuga included. As the title suggests, the story is a comedic aside showing the team away from their hard-fought games, focusing on the characters' personalities and their banter with one another.

For fans of the series, this short bonus episode offers a lighthearted look at the everyday side of the Seirin players, in the same spirit as the comedic extras that accompany the main story of Kuroko's Basketball, in which an underdog high school team takes on the prodigies of the legendary Generation of Miracles.
