Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet: Far Beyond the Voyage

Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet: Far Beyond the Voyage is a two-episode OVA continuing Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet, announced at AnimeJapan 2014.

The series is set on a future Earth whose surface has been swallowed almost entirely by the ocean. Its people live aboard great fleets of ships such as Gargantia, a floating city that survives by salvaging technology from the depths. It was there that Ledo, a young soldier of the Galactic Alliance of Humankind, washed up with his intelligent machine caliber Chamber after a battle in deep space against the alien Hideauze, and slowly learned to live among ordinary people alongside the cheerful messenger girl Amy.

The OVA returns to life aboard Gargantia after the events of the TV series. A thirteen-year-old girl named Rima, who comes from the fleet once led by Kugel, starts working as a courier under Amy's supervision and has to find her place among the people of the floating city, while life on the fleet faces new surprises.
