Chaika: The Coffin Princess OVA

This unaired, anime-original OVA was bundled with the twelfth volume of the Hitsugi no Chaika light novels by Ichirou Sakaki. It is a bonus episode for fans of Chaika: The Coffin Princess rather than a standalone story.

The series is set on a continent still recovering from a long war that ended with the fall of the Gaz Empire and the death of its ruler, the "Sorcerer Emperor" Arthur Gaz. Chaika Trabant, a silver-haired girl who carries a large coffin and wields a sniper-rifle-like magic gundo, is determined to gather the scattered remains of the emperor, who she says was her father, so that he can receive a proper funeral.

Accompanying her are Toru Acura, a saboteur struggling to find purpose in peacetime, and his sister Akari, along with the dragon Fredrica. Their quest puts them at odds with the Gillette Corps, an elite unit determined to stop anyone collecting the emperor's remains. The OVA offers an extra adventure with this familiar cast.
