Z/X: Ignition

In the not-so-distant future, five spatial rifts known as Black Points suddenly appear around the world, each one a gateway to a different future. Armies of strange creatures pour out of the portals, and every one of them represents the interests of its own timeline. Conflict between the forces of the different eras is inevitable: each side seeks to wipe out the alternative realities completely, because destroying its rivals means securing its own future. Earth becomes the battlefield.

The city of Kobe ends up at the center of the fighting, and several teenagers decide to defend their home from the invaders. They form contracts with beings from other worlds, and these contracts allow them to use cards known as Z/X, which grant access to allies from the various worlds. These creatures fight for their masters and obey their will, each with unique powers that depend on their origin, and commanding them wisely becomes the key to victory. Alliances and temporary pacts take shape, every action shifts the balance between the worlds, and enemies change as soon as the outside threat does. Old grudges and fears erode trust, and the teenagers are forced to make hard decisions under pressure.
