Gurren Lagann: My Gurren is Shiny!!

The Gurren Brigade stops in a deep canyon after long battles and exhausting travels, hoping to spend a few quiet hours at their temporary camp. While most of the crew is resting, a strange beast-like girl named Chitori sneaks up to the sleeping Kamina and scribbles on his famous sunglasses with a permanent marker. When he wakes up, Kamina thinks he has suddenly gone blind and starts a noisy panic, much to the annoyance of everyone around him.

Yoko quickly figures out the cause of the commotion and takes off the ruined glasses, but then Chitori appears and shows off a remarkable talent, instantly cleaning the lenses to a perfect shine with a special solution. She offers to clean up Gurren, which has long been caked in dirt from countless battles. Kamina eagerly agrees, especially since he has noticed how neat Lagann looks thanks to Simon's constant care. Chitori sets to work on the giant machine with unusual tools and chemical mixtures, but Kamina has no idea what her true intentions are. This special episode was bundled with the Nintendo DS game based on the series.
