Blue Exorcist: The Movie Special

This special is a collaboration between Blue Exorcist and Kakko Kawaii Sengen!, a short gag anime known for its cute, simplified art style and quick-fire comedy, made around the release of Blue Exorcist: The Movie.

Blue Exorcist follows Rin Okumura, a hot-headed teenager who discovers that he is the son of Satan himself. After tragedy strikes his family, Rin vows to defeat his demonic father and enrolls at True Cross Academy to train as an exorcist alongside his twin brother Yukio, who is already a skilled exorcist and teacher, as well as their classmates in the exorcist cram school.

In this crossover, the familiar characters of Blue Exorcist are brought into the playful world and humor of Kakko Kawaii Sengen!. The tense battles against demons are set aside in favor of lighthearted, comedic situations and funny dialogue, letting fans see Rin, Yukio and their friends from a completely different, far more lighthearted angle than in the main series and the film.
