Ranma ½ (2024)

Ranma Saotome arrives at the Tendo dojo with his father Genma after years of training in China. Soun Tendo expects Ranma to marry one of his daughters so the families can carry on the dojo, but the arrangement falls on Akane, the daughter least interested in marriage. Ranma also brings a curse from Jusenkyo. Cold water changes him into a girl, and hot water changes him back. Genma has his own curse and becomes a panda under the same conditions. Akane wants nothing to do with the engagement at first, and Ranma answers every awkward moment with pride, teasing, or denial. Their school life quickly becomes unstable once classmates see both sides of Ranma and begin building rumors before anyone can explain the truth.

The Tendo home becomes the center of repeated challenges. Tatewaki Kuno pursues Akane and Ranma’s girl form without realizing they are the same person. Ryoga Hibiki arrives with a grudge against Ranma and his own curse that turns him into a small black pig, which Akane unknowingly keeps as P chan. Shampoo comes from China after losing to Ranma’s girl form and later decides to marry his male form under her village rules. Each new rival turns an ordinary day into a fight over pride, promises, or mistaken affection. Ranma keeps trying to protect his reputation while hiding how much he cares about Akane. Akane keeps rejecting the engagement while trusting him more than she admits. Their lives move through school fights, dojo disputes, family schemes, and cursed water accidents, with every solution creating another misunderstanding before either of them can say what they really mean.
