Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms

Hikaru Amatsuga lives in Kita Kagami City and tries to stay an ordinary student until he hears a cry for help and finds Alma, a mechanical lifeform shaped like an arm. Alma has lost his memories and fuses with Hikaru’s hoodie by accident, leaving the two unable to separate cleanly. Their first attempts to hide the situation fail when Aki Murasame transfers into Hikaru’s class. She belongs to ARMS, an organization that monitors Mecha Ude users, and her mission is to secure Alma before the Kagami Group can take him. Hikaru wants no part in the conflict, but Alma is called the Trigger Arm, and that makes him valuable to people who want power over every Mecha Ude.

Hikaru is drawn into battles between ARMS, Kagami Group agents, and other users whose mechanical partners carry their own histories. Aki protects Alma while keeping Hikaru under pressure, and the two boys learn to fight together through repeated attacks, mistakes, and escapes. Jun Kagami and those behind him hunt Alma for a plan tied to control, survival, and the origin of the Mecha Ude on Earth. Hikaru’s ordinary friendships and school life begin to collapse under secrets he cannot explain. Alma’s missing memories become the key to understanding why he was sealed away and why so many factions fear or desire him. The final conflict forces Hikaru to stop treating Alma as a burden and choose him as a partner, while Alma has to decide what kind of future he wants for himself and the others of his kind.
