Season 2 starts from a place that feels even more unsettling than the battles. Time has passed, the public story has been rewritten, and what happened before is treated like something people remember but cannot truly explain. One boy, Lall Ono, refuses to accept that version of reality because he remembers someone nobody else will acknowledge. Adults insist that Goro Ono never existed, yet Lall’s memories are vivid enough to feel like proof. At the same school, Eko Sasaki is drawn to the same unanswered questions, sensing that the world is hiding a truth that is bigger than simple rumor. As Lall searches for a way to bring Goro back, the KamiErabi conflict pulls the remaining candidates forward again, forcing them toward the system behind the app. Escapes and alliances do not end the nightmare, they only change its shape. The candidates are pushed toward a facility tied to the KamiErabi AI, and the fights expand beyond personal grudges into something that threatens to swallow the world around them. Season 2 is about the cost of remembering, the terror of being erased, and what happens when the battle royale for divinity refuses to stay in the past.
