Wistoria: Wand and Sword

Will Serfort studies at Regarden Magical Academy, where magic decides rank, respect, and every path toward the tower that protects the world. He cannot cast even a basic spell, so classmates treat him as a failure who should have left long ago. Will stays because of a promise made to Elfaria, his childhood friend who became one of the Magia Vander and now waits far above him. He earns credits through written scores and dungeon work, hiding the fact that his swordsmanship can defeat monsters that skilled mages fear. Colette supports him when others mock him, while Sion, Julius, Wignall, and Lihanna each become rivals or uneasy allies after seeing that Will’s lack of magic does not make him helpless. The academy keeps trying to measure him by wand standards, and every test forces him to prove value in a system built to reject him.

The dungeon becomes the place where Will’s real strength can no longer stay hidden. Teachers and students watch him survive traps, bosses, and group trials through movement, reading, and timing instead of spells. Edward, who once failed to reach the same dream, tries to crush Will’s ambition before it destroys him, but that pressure only sharpens his resolve. During the Grand Duke incident, Will and his classmates are thrown into a deadly floor where pride has to give way to cooperation. Wignall reveals his own insecurity, Julius is forced to accept Will’s usefulness, and the group survives because Will turns the sword into the missing answer to their magic. The path to Elfaria remains far away, yet Will stops being only the boy who cannot use a wand. He becomes the student whose presence shakes the academy’s rules and suggests that the tower may need more than mages to keep standing.
