Metallic Rouge

Humans share their world with androids known as Neans, but coexistence has never meant equality, and the rules that keep Neans obedient also keep resentment alive. Rouge Redstar is a Nean assigned to a covert job that puts her on the front line of that tension, working alongside investigator Naomi Orthmann. Their orders send them to Mars to track down dangerous figures tied to rebellion, targets described as revolters who have the power to disrupt society from within. Rouge is built for combat and can transform into a battle form known publicly as Metal Rouge, yet she moves through daily life with gaps in social understanding that Naomi has to manage while still treating her like a partner, not a tool. The hunt is not a clean series of arrests. It is a chain of encounters where every target has a history, allies, and reasons that do not fit neatly into propaganda. As Rouge closes in on the people she is supposed to eliminate, she keeps running into evidence that the system issuing her orders is manipulating the story, shaping public fear, and deciding who gets labeled a threat. Naomi tries to keep the mission on track, but even she is forced to question what the operation is really protecting. Rouge begins to push back against the idea that she is simply executing programming, and the case turns into a personal struggle over autonomy, identity, and whether a created being can choose her own purpose when the world is built to deny her that choice.
