High Card Season 2

Finn Oldman never planned to be part of anything noble. He was a street-smart pickpocket trying to keep an orphanage afloat, until one encounter with a supernatural playing card flipped his life into a war fought with smiles, suits, and sudden violence. The X-Playing Cards look like ordinary cards, but each one grants a distinct power to whoever holds it, and too many of them in the wrong hands can tear a city apart. Finn is recruited by High Card, a covert team working under the luxury car company Pinochle, tasked with retrieving the scattered cards and neutralizing the chaos they cause. Season 2 pushes deeper into the struggle over those cards as new players enter the table and old enemies tighten their grip. The hunt is no longer just about tracking down a missing artifact. It becomes personal, with Finn forced to grow from a kid improvising schemes into someone who can read people, take hits, and still choose restraint when power would make cruelty easy. Every recovery mission feels like a gamble, because even «saving» a card can mean ruining the life of the person who depended on it, and letting it go can mean watching the world burn later.
