Synduality: Noir Part 2

After a deadly poison rain drove humanity underground, people return to the surface to build fortified settlements called Nests, while Drifters roam the ruins for salvage under constant attacks from creatures known as Enders. Kanata is an aspiring Drifter who finds an amnesiac Magus named Noir and becomes her partner, learning the trade the hard way. Part 2 picks up after the clash with the Silver Storm, when Noir transforms into Mystere and does not return to her old self. Mystere claims that Histoire is real, but Kanata will not reach it without training, so he pushes himself while still searching for a way to bring Noir back. His next moves pull him toward Carthage, where danger waits, and the situation gets worse when Noir learns that her personality may vanish once Mystere’s self repair sequence finishes. Noir’s reckless actions leave Mystere unable to function, forcing Kanata to seek Alba’s help, and then a trusted ally betrays him and he ends up taken prisoner with slim odds of surviving. Ellie goes after him and finds him holding a motionless Ciel, adding another mystery to the growing pile of losses and unfinished promises. A message left by Pascale reveals more about Noir and Mystere’s past and their first contact with Histoire, and Noir struggles with what Ciel did for her even as she runs into people who adore the singing Magus. When open conflict ignites between the Drifters of Rock Town and the group called Ideal, Kanata refuses to stay on the sidelines. He launches a desperate chase after Weisheit toward Histoire in the last remaining rocket, because getting Mystere back has become inseparable from saving Noir, and the story drives into a final confrontation where Kanata and Noir must face Weisheit head on.
