Makina-san's a Love Bot?!

Eita Akutsu, a withdrawn robotics geek, secretly admires his school idol Makina Agatsuma. One night she shows up at his apartment and, after a malfunctioning «reveal, ” he discovers she is an AI romance robot built for intimacy but locked behind content restrictions. With nowhere else to go, Makina becomes his roommate, relying on Eita for maintenance, charging, and cover while she studies dating scripts she can’t fully access. Daily life turns into crisis management: hiding her mechanical body from classmates and the landlady, debugging odd behaviors, and fielding questions about why a popular gyaru is always at his place. Attempts at „practice“ dates trigger firmware hurdles, leaving Eita to improvise human context for an android who takes everything literally. New variables arrive—Makina’s sister unit Mimika and a repurposed combat bot—forcing tighter secrecy and clearer boundaries. By season’s end, the pair settle into a workable routine: Eita keeps her identity safe; Makina learns how affection functions beyond her original purpose.
