Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island

In Universal Century 0079, the war between the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon has long since stopped being a series of news bulletins: it has seeped into the air, into metal, into children's voices, into every patch of land where ordinary life could have gone on not long ago. After heavy fighting, the White Base arrives near Las Palmas, and Captain Bright Noa receives new orders: clear the island of Alegranza of remaining Zeon forces to secure safe passage for the Federation fleet to Gibraltar. At first glance it is a routine operation in the endless meat grinder of the One Year War. Amuro Ray, the young pilot of the RX-78-2 Gundam, sets out with Kai Shiden and Hayato Kobayashi to inspect the island where, according to command, enemy infiltrators may be hiding. But the silent cliffs, the scorching sun and the strange stillness quickly turn the reconnaissance into a trap: Amuro runs into a lone Zaku, loses contact with the White Base and disappears along with his mobile suit.
