Naoto Watari keeps his head down and looks after his little sister Suzushiro after their parents die. They live with their aunt and he builds a routine that leaves no room for clubs or friends. A transfer brings back Satsuki Tachibana, the childhood friend who once shattered his peace. Her return pulls up memories he tried to seal and starts rumors that press on his bond with Suzu. Naoto draws harder borders around home and school and watches Satsuki from a distance while classmates like Yukari Ishihara notice the strain. Small events turn heavy. A phone call he does not want.
