Seraph of the End: Vampire Shahar

This original episode was released on DVD as a bonus with the 11th volume of the manga and tells of events that take place before the Battle in Nagoya. The Shinoa Squad, known for its successful operations to wipe out vampires in Shinjuku, receives a new mission from Lieutenant Colonel Guren Ichinose. This time their task is to rescue a girl named Riko, who has been kidnapped by a vampire called Shahar, and bring her back to her family.

The mission, however, turns out to be far less simple than it seems at first glance. The vampire who abducted Riko behaves very strangely: he does not drink her blood and treats the girl with friendliness, which raises a host of questions about his true motives. Matters become even more complicated when Ferid Bathory and Crowley Eusford also appear once Shahar is found – two powerful vampire nobles whose strength far exceeds anything the squad can easily handle. Yuuichirou Hyakuya and his comrades have to keep their wits about them, since a single mistake could cost the life of the child and their own. Can Yuu save the girl?
