Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kira

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kira is a collection of four lighthearted OVA stories that take the familiar characters of Hinamizawa away from the series' horror and mysteries.

In the first story, Keiichi loses yet another club game and remembers that the penalties for losing have long since become monotonous. The boys of the group decide to come up with new ones and hold a meeting where dozens of ideas are proposed, from tasks at school to challenges involving visits to local spots, and a whole chain of trials takes shape that the loser must perform in front of everyone. The second story moves to a moment when Satoko and Rika fall asleep and wake up in another world, where Rika discovers she has a magical girl's powers that let her change events around her. The girls explore the area, learn of a coming danger and try to find their way home, encountering creatures that react to magic, while Rika uses her new powers to protect Satoko.

The third story centers on Keiichi and Mion, who consider themselves just friends, although everyone around them sees something more. Watching her sister, Shion decides to step in and arranges a series of situations that leave Mion and Keiichi alone together, revealing hidden feelings. A fourth story rounds out the collection.
