Himouto! Umaru-chan OVA

These OVA episodes of Himouto! Umaru-chan were released with the seventh and tenth volumes of the original manga.

Taihei's birthday gives Umaru a reason to think about what kind of surprise would truly make her brother happy. She turns to Nana for advice, hoping to come up with something special that will show her care and gratitude. Umaru decides to spend the day playing the perfect sister: neat, attentive and modest, the complete opposite of her usual lazy self at home. She helps Taihei with chores, cooks, cleans and tries not to be fussy or lazy, but the longer she plays the role of a model sibling, the more she feels how false it all is.

Taihei notices her efforts, yet instead of joy his face shows a touch of sadness, as if he misses his real, lively little sister, the one he can argue, laugh and play with. When her friends invite Umaru to the pool, she agrees, hoping to take her mind off things. While they swim, Nana and Kirie talk about their hobbies, never suspecting that the famous gamer UMR, well known online and at tournaments, is right beside them. Umaru increasingly wonders whether she should tell them the truth about her double life and admit that Komaru and UMR are both her.
