Saga of Tanya the Evil: Operation Desert Pasta

In a world where trench warfare coexists with combat magic, the Empire continues its grueling fight on several fronts. Tanya Degurechaff, a fragile-looking girl with an officer's cold eyes, hides behind her childish face the mind of an adult from another world who thinks in terms of calculation, profit and the cold logic of survival. Her 203rd Air Mage Battalion is transferred to the southern desert front, where the enemy is not only the Republic but also heat, sand, thirst and shortages. At this moment headquarters, in the person of Erich von Lergen, sends a generous load of pasta to the front lines, as if forgetting that in the desert water is worth more than gunpowder.

To the soldiers it looks almost like a joke: the pasta is hard to cook, and without sauce it stays a bland reminder of peacetime. Tanya, who hates pointless decisions and inefficiency, realizes she must fix reality herself, and a careless idea from Viktoriya Serebryakova sparks a plan: if the enemy has supplies and ingredients, they can be seized under a perfectly respectable military pretext. Thus Operation Desert Pasta is born, with raids officially described as reconnaissance in force, and the more Tanya acts, the more others see a brilliant strategic design behind what is really about dinner.
