Assassination Classroom: Extracurricular Lesson

Koutarou Takebayashi, a former student of the underachieving Class 3-E, has earned the chance to return to the academy's main campus thanks to his outstanding academic results. For him, this is genuine recognition and a reward. Yet once he finds himself in the elite class, Takebayashi begins to wonder whether this is really what he wants, since moving to the new class means risking losing touch with the friends he made in Class E.

These doubts and feelings are explored in shorts adapting manga chapters that were not shown in the TV version of Assassination Classroom's second season: chapter 78, "Takebayashi's Time," and chapter 79, "Time for the Ruler, 2nd Period," both from the ninth volume of the manga. They delve into Takebayashi's thoughts about his future and about what truly matters to him. Will he leave his friends behind and begin a new chapter of his life in the elite class? The question invites reflection on the values and priorities we all live by.
