Sekirei: Hajimete no Otsukai

Kusano's First Errand is a ten-minute OVA that was released with the limited edition of the sixth volume of Sekirei. It tells a light side story set in the Izumo Inn, the boarding house where the hapless student Minato Sahashi lives together with the Sekirei he has winged.

Little Kusano, a young Sekirei with the power to control plants, is finally tired of nobody taking her seriously as Minato's potential wife. To show what she is capable of, she insists on joining Musubi and Tsukiumi in their shopping race. What was supposed to be a simple errand quickly turns into a rather iffy day, as the cheerful, determined little girl tries her best to prove herself alongside two much stronger and far more competitive companions.

The short focuses on comedy and the warm relationships between the residents of the inn rather than on the battles of the Sekirei Plan.
