Mai Otonashi lives for bowling, the quiet second before release when a strike feels inevitable. Her club has five girls, not enough to hide behind numbers, and Mai drags them toward bigger goals with pride and sheer will. Rina Godai joins as a first year and pushes back hard, challenging Mai’s decisions and refusing to be carried. The tension is personal, not polite, and it spills into every practice, every spare, every missed pin. The word «turkey» means three strikes in a row, but the club is stuck at «snake eyes», two pins that refuse to fall. Then an accident hits in the middle of play, sparked by lightning and a strange artifact, and their ordinary season breaks. The girls are thrown into a situation where the score does not just decide a winner, it decides whether they can get back to the life they recognize.
