Lupin III: Missed by a Dollar

Lupin III: Missed by a Dollar is a Lupin III TV special that sends the gentleman thief and his gang on another treasure hunt. This time the prize is a legendary brooch, a treasure said to lie behind the success of the most powerful rulers in history.

Lupin, Jigen, Goemon and Fujiko are not alone in their pursuit. A greedy bank president and her goons are after the same treasure, and both sides race to solve the mystery that leads to it. Inspector Zenigata, as always, is close on Lupin's heels.

The special follows a classic Lupin formula: a hidden treasure with a historical legend, a string of clues to decipher, double-crosses, Fujiko's own schemes and plenty of chases, gunfights and narrow escapes. Mixing comedy, action and a touch of mystery, it is a self-contained adventure that does not require knowledge of other entries in the franchise.
