Lupin the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine

At the height of his youthful fame, the nimble thief in the bright green jacket is suffering from something worse than boredom: a hollow, clinging apathy born of endless, identical triumphs. Even the most elaborate cons no longer get his blood racing, and his chases with the police feel like rehearsed choreography. In a desperate attempt to shake himself awake, he takes on a job that even the most reckless would turn down: infiltrating a mysterious island ruled by a fanatical cult that lives by its own cruel laws, cut off from the rest of the world.

There, among the austere temples and ominous silence, his attention is caught by Fujiko Mine. Dazzling as a flash and unpredictable as a storm, she acts with the same precision with which she seduces. Clever, calculating and utterly unscrupulous, Fujiko recognizes no alliances and no obligations: for profit she will toy with feelings, betray and deceive, all with such grace that even those she leaves empty-handed forgive her.

This risky encounter begins the story of how two geniuses of the criminal trade first met. Lupin, not yet surrounded by loyal companions, works alone, relying on instinct and a natural talent for chaos, while Fujiko prefers not to become attached to anyone.
