Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid Episode 00

Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid Episode 00 is a prologue to The Second Raid, the third anime installment of the franchise based on Shouji Gatou's light novels. It follows the elite operatives of Mithril, a secret private military organization that intervenes in conflicts around the world using humanoid combat machines called Arm Slaves.

In this episode, Sergeant Sousuke Sagara, the sniper Kurz Weber and their squad leader Melissa Mao are deployed to the Republic of Manistan in Central Asia. Their mission is to put an end to a growing civil war between rebel forces and the Manistani military, a conflict that threatens to spiral out of control. Away from the high school comedy of Sousuke's undercover life in Tokyo, the episode focuses on the gritty military side of the series, showcasing the teamwork of the three Mithril operatives and the tense, grounded mecha combat that sets the tone for the more serious story of The Second Raid.
