Kakegurui Picture Drama

Kakegurui Picture Drama is a series of short bonus episodes included on the DVD and Blu-ray volumes of Kakegurui. Instead of full animation, these picture dramas tell their stories through illustrated stills accompanied by the voices of the series' cast.

Kakegurui is set at Hyakkaou Private Academy, an elite school for the children of the rich and powerful, where social standing is determined not by grades or athletics but by gambling. Students who lose too much are turned into "house pets" and treated as the lowest of the low, while the student council, led by the enigmatic Kirari Momobami, rules over everyone. Into this world arrives the transfer student Yumeko Jabami, a seemingly polite and charming girl who turns out to be a compulsive gambler who lives for the thrill of high-stakes risk. Together with Ryota Suzui, Mary Saotome and other students, she shakes up the academy's rigid hierarchy.

The picture dramas offer lighter extra scenes with these characters, giving fans a glimpse of their lives at Hyakkaou outside the tense gambling matches of the main series.
