Quality Assurance in Another World

Nikola lives in the village of Bayle and expects her days to stay ordinary until a dragon attack brings Haga into her life. He calls himself a member of the King’s Seekers, a secret investigation group that checks strange problems across the land. His methods are unlike anything Nikola has seen. He studies walls, tests objects, writes reports, and treats danger like something that must be recorded before it is solved. After the attack, Nikola survives an event that should have killed her and follows Haga to learn what he is really investigating. The truth is that their world is a virtual game still under development, and Haga is a trapped quality assurance tester who has spent a year sending bug reports no one answers.

Their journey moves through towns, ruins, scripted events, and broken systems where people suffer because the world does not work correctly. Haga refuses to abuse his debug stone, even though other testers use their access to dominate non player characters, skip rules, or turn whole areas into private playgrounds. Nikola begins to understand that her memories, village, and body are part of a system, but her choices still matter to her. She helps Haga face testers who abandoned their work, collect debug stones, and protect people who are treated as disposable by those who know the world is artificial. Each case exposes another flaw, from loops that trap victims to powers that make their users careless. Haga keeps writing reports because stopping would mean accepting the broken world as final, while Nikola keeps following him because the truth gives her a wider life than the peaceful routine she lost.
