Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend .flat - Fan Service of Love and Pure heart

Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend .flat - Fan Service of Love and Pure Heart is an extra episode of the second season of Saekano, the romantic comedy about Tomoya Aki, an otaku high schooler determined to create the ultimate dating-sim game with his doujin circle, Blessing Software, and to turn the unremarkable Megumi Katou into its main heroine.

For the production of the game's poolside scene, the circle's illustrator, Eriri Spencer Sawamura, wants Megumi to model in a swimsuit for her sketches of the heroine. Megumi, however, refuses to wear such an outfit unless everyone else agrees to do the same. To keep development running smoothly, the whole team goes along with her request, and the members of Blessing Software, including scenario writer Utaha Kasumigaoka, conduct their fruitful "research" at a luxury hotel.

True to its title, the episode is a lighthearted, fanservice-filled break from the creative and romantic tensions of the main story, playing with the rivalries between the circle's members while keeping the focus on the making of their game.
