Sword Art Online II: Debriefing

Sword Art Online II: Debriefing, also known as episode 14.5, is a recap special that looks back on the Phantom Bullet arc, the first story of Sword Art Online II.

The arc follows Kazuto Kirigaya, known in virtual worlds as Kirito, who survived the deadly game Sword Art Online. When a mysterious player calling himself Death Gun appears to be able to kill people in real life by shooting their avatars in the gun-focused VRMMO Gun Gale Online, a government official asks Kirito to log into the game and investigate. There he meets Sinon, a skilled sniper whose real identity is Shino Asada, a girl struggling to overcome a traumatic incident from her past. Together they enter the Bullet of Bullets tournament, where Death Gun is hunting his next victims, and work to uncover the truth behind the killings.

The special summarizes these events, from Kirito's arrival in Gun Gale Online and his bond with Sinon to the battles against Death Gun, as a refresher before the series moves on to its next story arc.
