My Happy Marriage: The Shape of My Happiness is a special episode of the romantic fantasy My Happy Marriage, based on Akumi Agitogi's novels. Set in an alternate Meiji-era Japan where noble families possess supernatural gifts, the series follows Miyo Saimori, a young woman who grew up mistreated by her stepmother and half-sister because she seemed to have no gift of her own. Sent away to marry Kiyoka Kudou, a feared military commander rumored to be cold and cruel, she instead found in him a kind man who slowly helped her heal.

Now, though still hesitant, Miyo decides she is finally ready to attend a party at Kiyoka's side as his fiancee. With the help of Kiyoka's elder sister Hazuki, she has been diligently practicing the etiquette such an occasion demands. At first Miyo feels pressured by all the attention directed at her, but she gradually grows used to the unfamiliar surroundings and even makes new acquaintances. Through these encounters she learns more about her family's past and comes to understand how much it matters to build genuine connections with others, taking another quiet step toward a happiness of her own.
