Chizuko Date arrives in Naniga City to stay with her grandfather and expects another dull stretch with nothing to care about. That changes when she sees Berry Blossom protecting the city from Chroma, leader of the evil organization Fossa Magna. Chizuko becomes completely devoted to Berry Blossom, but the battles are disappointing because Chroma is weak, careless, and defeated so easily that the public stops paying attention. Chizuko cannot accept that her hero is being ignored. She starts looking for ways to make Berry Blossom shine again, even if that means improving the villain who is supposed to threaten her. Chroma notices her obsession and recruits her into Fossa Magna, giving her the name Dante and pulling her into the side she should be opposing.

Chizuko’s daily life becomes a strange mix of fan devotion, school, and villain work. She helps Chroma plan attacks, fix appearances, and stage situations that might make Berry Blossom look stronger in front of the city. The problem is that Fossa Magna is too incompetent to act like a serious enemy, and Chizuko is too honest about her love for Berry Blossom to become truly wicked. Mashirou, Chrome’s familiar, and other odd figures around the organization add more chaos, while Berry Blossom keeps misunderstanding Chizuko’s actions. What Chizuko wants is not the defeat of her hero, but a world where everyone notices how great Berry Blossom is. Each failed scheme leaves her deeper in the organization and closer to the people she once saw only as enemies. Her path follows a girl who chooses the villain’s side not out of hatred, but because admiration has pushed her into the most awkward way possible to support the person she loves watching.
