Dusk Beyond the End of the World

Akira Himegami is shot while protecting Towasa Omagi and wakes centuries later in a quiet ruin of Japan. OWEL controls what is left and hunts every trace of old tech. An android named Yugure pulls Akira out of custody, shows him a world run by systems that rewrote family and law, and asks him to choose a path. He believes Towasa still lives and sets out to find her. Records hint that her LC Project sparked the fall and that Yugure is one of the Outside Series built to fix what went wrong. OWEL captains who share Towasa’s face close in. A painter named Amoru joins for part of the road. Clues point to Tokyo, to a library fire, and to a choice about what love means when a human may be a copy and an android may be the one who keeps their promise.
